Whether removable braces, ceramic brackets or profile correction, our experienced team of doctors is at your side for all orthodontic treatments. In regular internal meetings, our team of doctors deepens its specialist knowledge and discusses patient cases and treatment methods in order to always be able to offer you the best therapy.

Dr. Christiane Cornelius

Specialist dentist for orthodontics

Dr. Cornelius completed her state examination in dentistry in 1997 at the Bavarian Julius-Maximilians-University in Würzburg. After successfully completing further training in orthodontics, she qualified as a specialist in orthodontics at Hannover Medical School in 2002.


From 2003 to 2013, Dr. Cornelius worked in various specialist orthodontic practices in France and Germany and was able to deepen her expertise.


In 2014, she took over the specialist practice for orthodontics Düsseldorf Zentrum, which had been founded by Dr. Kreis in 1991.


Dr. Cornelius speaks fluent English and French.

Dr. Alexa Kupfer

Employed specialist dentist for orthodontics

After studying dentistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz from 2008 to 2013, Dr. Kupfer completed her residency in a general dental practice from 2014 to 2016 and then worked as a dentist in Düsseldorf. In 2017, she completed her doctorate (Dr. med. dent.) at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in the Department of Dental Conservation. In the same year, she began her further training as a specialist in orthodontics in an orthodontic practice in Düsseldorf. Dr. Kupfer completed the clinical year of her further training as an orthodontic specialist at the Department of Orthodontics at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz from 2019 to 2020. Since 2021 she has been an employed specialist dentist for orthodontics in the specialist practice for orthodontics Düsseldorf Zentrum.


Dr. Kupfer is fluent in English and has a sound knowledge of Portuguese.

Dr. Annika Pliska  

Employed specialist dentist for orthodontics

Dr. Pliska completed her studies in dentistry at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf from 2012 to 2017. She then worked as a researcher at the Polyclinic for Orthodontics at Düsseldorf University Hospital from 2018 to 2019 and was involved in several publications.  She then worked as an assistant dentist in a general dental practice in Krefeld. From 2019 to 2022, she trained as an orthodontist at the Polyclinic for Orthodontics at Düsseldorf University Hospital under the direction of Professor Drescher. In 2023, she obtained the title of specialist dentist for orthodontics and completed her doctorate as Dr. med. dent. Since September 2023, Dr. Pliska has been working as an employed orthodontist in the specialist practice for orthodontics Düsseldorf Zentrum.


Dr. Pliska speaks fluent English, some French and is learning Dutch and Italian in her spare time.

Dr. Leticia Wünstel

Employee Master of Science Orthodontics

Dr. Leticia Wünstel has been working in dentistry with passion and commitment for many years. From 2003 to 2009, she studied dentistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and the Universidad de Valencia, followed by her doctorate in 2010. After working as a dentist for several years until 2012, Dr. Wünstel specialized in the field of orthodontics since 2013 and successfully completed her Master of Science in Orthodontics in 2023. She has been part of the team at the specialist practice for orthodontics in Düsseldorf Zentrum since 2019. 


In addition to English, Dr. Wünstel is also fluent in Spanish and French.

Dr. Christiane Cornelius

Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie

Frau Dr. Cornelius absolvierte ihr Staatsexamen der Zahnmedizin 1997 an der bayrischen Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg. Nach erfolgreicher Weiterbildung im Fachbereich Kieferorthopädie folgte 2002 die Anerkennung zur Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie an der medizinischen Hochschule Hannover.


In den Jahren 2003 bis 2013 war Frau Dr. Cornelius in verschiedenen kieferorthopädischen Fachpraxen in Frankreich und Deutschland tätig und konnte ihre Kompetenzen vertiefen.


2014 übernahm sie die Fachpraxis für Kieferorthopädie Düsseldorf Zentrum, die 1991 von Dr. Kreis gegründet worden war.


Frau Dr. Cornelius spricht fließend Englisch und Französisch.

Dr. Alexa Kupfer

Angestellte Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie

Nach ihrem Studium der Zahnmedizin von 2008 bis 2013 an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz, leistete Frau Dr. Kupfer von 2014 bis 2016 ihre Assistenzzeit in einer allgemeinen Zahnarztpraxis ab und war anschließend zahnärztlich in Düsseldorf tätig. 2017 folgte ihre Promotion zur Dr. med. dent. an der Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz in der Abteilung für Zahnerhaltung. Im selben Jahr startete sie ihre Weiterbildung zur Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie in einer kieferorthopädischen Praxis in Düsseldorf. Das klinische Jahr ihrer Weiterbildung zur Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie leistete Frau Dr. Kupfer 2019 bis 2020 in der Abteilung für Kieferorthopädie der Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz ab. Seit 2021 ist sie angestellte Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie in der Fachpraxis für Kieferorthopädie Düsseldorf Zentrum.


Frau Dr. Kupfer spricht fließend Englisch und hat ein fundiertes Wissen in Portugiesisch.

Frau Dr. Pliska absolvierte von 2012 bis 2017 ihr Studium der Zahnmedizin an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität in Düsseldorf. Im Anschluss war sie von 2018 bis 2019 wissenschaftlich an der Poliklinik für Kieferorthopädie des Universitätsklinikums Düsseldorf tätig und an mehreren Publikationen beteiligt.  Anschließend arbeitete sie als Assistenzzahnärztin in einer allgemeinen Zahnarztpraxis in Krefeld. Von 2019 bis 2022 folgte ihre Weiterbildung zur Kieferorthopädin an der Poliklinik für Kieferorthopädie der Uniklinik Düsseldorf unter der Leitung von Professor Drescher. Im Jahr 2023 erlangte sie die Bezeichnung Fachzahnärztin für Kieferorthopädie und promovierte zur Dr. med. dent. Seit September 2023 ist Frau Dr. Pliska als angestellte Kieferorthopädin in der Fachpraxis für Kieferorthopädie Düsseldorf Zentrum tätig.


Frau Dr. Pliska spricht fließend Englisch, etwas Französisch und lernt in ihrer Freizeit Niederländisch und Italienisch.

Dr. Leticia Wünstel ist seit vielen Jahren mit Leidenschaft und Engagement in der Zahnmedizin tätig. Von 2003 bis 2009 absolvierte sie ihr Studium der Zahnmedizin an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz und der Universidad de Valencia, gefolgt von ihrer Promotion im Jahr 2010. Nach mehrjähriger Tätigkeit als Zahnärztin bis 2012 spezialisierte sich Frau Dr. Wünstel seit 2013 auf das Gebiet der Kieferorthopädie und schloss 2023 erfolgreich ihr Studium zum Master of Science in Kieferorthopädie ab. Seit 2019 ist Sie Teil des Teams der Fachpraxis für Kieferorthopädie Düsseldorf Zentrum. 


Neben Englisch spricht Frau Dr. Wünstel auch fließend Spanisch und Französisch.

Small treatment room:

We take time for initial diagnostics and consultations in our separate small treatment room. In addition to consultations, treatment is of course also carried out in this room. The small treatment room offers a quiet atmosphere, especially for adults or shy and anxious patients.

Digital orthodontics:

The practice has state-of-the-art equipment and innovative technologies, such as a fully digital low-dose X-ray, an intraoral scanner and a 3D printer.

Integrated practice laboratory 

Our integrated practice laboratory enables us to work in close coordination with our dental technician and produce your individual treatment appliances promptly.

Unter der heutigen Leitung durch Dr. Cornelius besteht unsere Fachpraxis seit 2014. Sie ist aus einer mehrjährigen Zusammenarbeit mit dem Praxisgründer Dr. Kreis hervorgegangen, der sie 1991 gründete und schnell zu einer führenden Adresse in Düsseldorf wurde.
